We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy efficiency, DSM programs, environmental policy, or sustainability, along with excellent writing and communication skills. This role will be responsible for managing grant writing and proposal initiatives, writing engaging blogs, editing reports and developing templates and style guides to improve the overall quality of our team's written content.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to edit and refine technical evaluation reports, proposals, and presentations for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Research, identify, and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities to support our projects and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a style guide and best practices for writing within the organization to ensure consistency and quality across all communications.
• Coordinate with our diverse internal teams and clients to gather information, collect feedback, and ensure alignment on messaging and branding.
• Write compelling and informative blogs on energy efficiency topics, industry trends, and case studies to engage our audience and enhance our online presence.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials, website content, and social media posts to promote our services and accomplishments.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, environmental policy, or related field.
• Two to Five years of experience in communications, writing, or marketing, preferably in the energy efficiency or sustainability sector.
• Experience with grant writing, proposal development, or technical documentation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of energy efficiency, DSM programs, decarbonization or sustainability practices.
• Experience with grant writing, proposal development, or technical documentation is highly desirable.
